[Solved]Luggage issues/ missing baggage with China Eastern Airline

When I arrived in Shanghai then Xi'an, from Los Angeles, I was not able to find my baggage.

The solutions turned out to be:
1. I went to the "baggage inquiry"(行李查询)  and was told that the baggage was still at LAX. In other words, it didn't come with me. I provided them with my luggage ticket(the small ticket you got along with the boarding pass) and travel document for photocopying and left my phone number. They promised that the baggage would arrive the next night or slightly later. They gave me a hard copy of the documents and their phone number.
2. I called them the next day and was told that the arrival would be further delayed due to their failure to load my luggage to the flight they planned. I told them to try their best to return the luggage back to me as early as possible.
3. Two days after my Arrival in Xi'an, I received a call and then got my luggage from a sketchy local delivery guy without need for signature.

Since my cousin works at China Eastern and she insists that other airlines in China are even worse, I won't comment too much on this. But I would recommend Cathay Pacific, if you are travelling with important items/things to do.

1. 去行李查询留下联系方式和行李小票,他们会给你一张复印件,上面有联系电话
2. 不断联系那个联系电话询问行李下落
3.最终他们会联系当地快递,从机场把行李寄到你家
