When you drag an image to a word doc, sometimes it can not be displayed. No other online answers solved this problem. But
Two solutions:
1. You could click insert -> Picture -> Picture From File and choose the picture you want to insert
2. You could drag your picture onto a powerpoint first, then copy paste it onto your word doc
