remove double line breaks in word

use find and replace

^p^p means two consecutive line breaks

Replace that with ^p

Adobe acrobat X add rectangle

Click the gear icon on top

find the rectangle, click the "->" arrow to add it to the tool bar

in the tool bar click the red rectangle icon

draw a box at where you want to add the rectangle

red click -> property and adjust colors

 

Adobe Acrobat Error No Available System Font when editing text in a PDF file when deleting a character

I was trying to delete an extra period in the end of a paragraph using acrobat X but it said that the font isn't available.

although it was not so intuitive.

What I ended up doing was: highlight that extra period I wanted to delete then changed the color to white.

6. a caltech log in window will pop up. Please CLOSE IT!!!
7. You will go back to a window saying "connecting to Office 365... Authentication couldn't be completed". Please click "not office 365?" on top right
8. In the new window, click IMAP/POP
9. In the manual set up window, choose IMAP for type,
     Firstnamelastname@alumni.caltech.edu as email address,
     Firstnamelastname@alumni.caltech.onmicrosoft.com for username
     your password
    outlook.office365.com for incoming mail server
    smtp.office365.com for outgoing server
    click Add account
10. Click Done
