system preferences -> sound -> output -> external headphones
And then check whether the output volume is non-zero and whether it's muted

[solved] Cannot connect to Sanger network drive
I encountered this problem: I couldn't connect to Sanger network drive.
The interesting thing is that if I use an ethernet cable I will be able to connect to it.
It turned out that my wifi setting (Network -> DNS) stored ebi's domains as default.
After deleting them it worked.

[Mac] Bluejeans doesn't work with external headphones
If may occur that your bluejeans doesn't like your external headphone connected to your mac
You may try System Preferences -> Sound -> Output -> External headphones but it still didn't work.
The solution is in Bluejeans itself
You should do this:
BlueJeans -> Preferences -> Devices -> Speaker -> Headphones
That will do the work
