There are two errors for my Mendeley:
1. It can't sync. Always shows error messages about unable to upload to mendeley.com whenever I click sync
2. Can't update to a newer version when I click help -> update
The solution:
1) Open Mendeley Desktop.
2) Click Ctrl + Shift + D.
3) Go to the Settings tab.
4) Set General_IgnoreSslErrors to ‘True’.
5) Restart Mendeley Desktop.
