1. Do make your appointment early even if you haven't completed your forms. --- They have very limited quota in their tiny office on the fifth floor.
2. You can let them mail the visa+passport back to you or pick up by yourself. I don't suggest picking up by yourself because their office hour is in the morning and the traffic can be bad. Plus you still have to wait in line among those applicants even if you just want to quickly pick up your passport.
3. The number may not work as you thought. Like Chinese Consulate, their consulate also has people parachuting in front of you and the officer will tell you that your number is missed. And that you have to pick up another number.
4. Monday mornings are good for appointments.
5. They prefer ink-signed documents as proof. But they are not very strict. They can give you exceptions. But don't risk doing it.
6. Only cash is accepted. No credit or debit cards allowed for the fee.
