[solved]cannot create tasks on Google Calendar

Usually, click on the top region of the Google Calendar grids and you will be asked whether to create an event or task. But sometimes you don't get the option to create tasks.

Solution:

On the left part of Google Calendar, under "my calendars", make sure "tasks" are checked
